Because of the requests at nuke-evolution.com we ported the picture
gallery My eGallery 2.8 to nuke-evolution (beta 2).
There still may be some bugs, so please try to test this module as
intensive as possible and report any bug in the appropriate forum.

Hey Bogie, I looked at the install instructions for this mod and most of it appears to be in ASCII characters. Any way I could get a simple english version of the install file?

Oops ... sorry.
Here it is:

Installation Instructions

Copy the files within the admin and modules directory to your site, maintaining the directory structure in this file.

Then, direct your browser to
http://www.yoursite.com/modules.php?name=My_eGallery&file=install

and select whether you need to update the database for your existing version of My_eGallery, or set up the database tables (install) for the new installation of it.

It will be included in the file now.

Thanks, that worked out great!..... I set everything and have one question. Not sure if this is by design or if it's a bug but.

1. When you have a category and have pictures in the folder, the images display no problem and you can click the image to get the details. All is okay.

2. Now, setup a Category and now setup a Sub-Category. For your category you get your thumbnail issue but when you go ino the subcategory you get the "images/image_jpg.gif" image to dispay versus the images that are in the sub-category. You can click each of the "images/image_jpg.gif" and get the details with the proper image but I would imagine you would want your image to display when viewing the sub-category versus having to click each of them to see what they are suppose to be.

With all of that said, is that something that can be fixed or is it by design to be that way and that's just how it is?

Actually I must say, that I don't really know wether it is a bug or a feature.

I'll try to find it out. I guess I'll need several days, because ... well have a look at the announcement ... Laughing

Not a problem Bogie it's totally understandable. Congrats on your new addition to your family! I actually didn't expect you to be around so I posted it to have it on your radar once you got back. Thanks for the reply.

As you can imageine - doing protal development ... you have to be online at least once a day Smile

I Seem To Be having the same problem I have no thumbnails showing only images/image_jpg.gif

This is displayed when the thumbs folder is empty. for some reason the port is not making the thumbs I've tried all availiable configurations,

as a temp solution I created the thumbs manually and uploaded them.

maybe there is missing some graphic libraty. Did you check that?

The thumbnail issue seems something more of a problem with My_eGallery it's self. I have ImageMagik and GD Version 2.x, yet still can not get My_eGallery to produce thumbs reliably. Even the browser thumbnailer does not want to produce thumbs.

Ah... here's a little possible insite.. an error I just got from trying again...
